New Victoria Park Centre in Paignton opens on 7th AprilThe centre run by Torbay Youth Service will offer structured after school sessions for 11-19 year olds, 5 days a week with drop in sessions on Saturdays. Some of the existing Youth Service groups will meet at the centre in the evenings and staff will be available during the day to give information and advice. Evening events for young people in TorbayTorbay Council’s Youth Service and Groundwork South West have teamed up to provide a timetable of activities for young people aged 11-19 year old in Torbay. The free activities will take place at various times from 6pm at outdoor play areas at Barton, Roselands, Goodrington, Watcombe, The Willows, Ellacombe, Furzeham and Victoria Park. Mobile artificial lighting will be used to enable young people to take advantage of the multi use games areas on winter nights. Qualified coaches and equipment is provided to enable young people to decide what activities they want to do. Activities are open to everyone, regardless of ability; and for those who wish to improve their skills, there will be opportunities to take accreditation for certain sports | ![]() |
